In 2013, I decided to measure how effective translation can be and what the direct impacts are of the translation quality on sales and profit. I took two short samples of existing texts translated into Polish. One of them was about a popular electronic gadget and the other one was taken from a travel website. I took the original texts in English and provided alternative content corresponding to them in Polish. Then I hired a market research company to ask 1,000 potential buyers which texts worked better.
Take a look at the results - translation quality matters!
Have you ever experienced any situations in which you felt bad translation or interpreting let you down?

Thank you, Beatrice 🙂
Just superb. This should be proof enough for companies to know that hiring professional translators will always have positive long-term effects when it comes to reaching out to their global market. Great job on engaging customers on your translation! Keep it up! The industry needs more translators like you to raise the bar so that customers will always know how important it is to hire professionals for their translation needs.
Thank you so much!
